ABOUT THE ROLE
Peloton is looking for a strategic, collaborative and multifaceted compliance professional to join our Global Safety, Ethics and Compliance team as Associate Manager, Trade Compliance - International. In this role, you will manage trade and Customs compliance requirements for Peloton’s International business. You will monitor new UK, German and EU trade and Customs programs for potential impact to Peloton and advocate for compliance within the organization. This position reports to Peloton’s US-based Compliance team and is based in the UK (London) or in Germany (Berlin). German-language proficiency is required for this role.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
Manage day-to-day activities for Peloton’s Trade Compliance program in the UK, Germany and new European countries of trade, and help manage local customs brokers Supervise and track emerging regulatory developments in the area of trade, Customs, and responsible sourcing applicable to Germany and related EU Member States Main point of contact for any trade and Customs inquiries in the UK, Germany and EU Supervise Peloton’s UK, Germany and EU Customs brokers, audited and measured against KPIs Further strengthen and implement written procedures, policies and guidelines for internal and external stakeholders Ensure accurate and timely payment of UK and German Customs duties & VAT Coordinate UK and German Customs recordkeeping in compliance with each country’s statute of limitations Detailed understanding of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule to develop tariff classifications for various Peloton products into all EMEA markets Handle the implementation of a global trade compliance software For Peloton’s International business Help support duty drawback programs in applicable EU Member States and the UK
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
Minimum experience of 5+ years with a European-based Importer, Customs broker or Trade Compliance consulting firm Expertise in Customs matters in front of HMRC, Zoll and other EU Customs agencies Must be fluent in English and German languages Demonstrated track record of successfully advising on trade compliance matters for a global team Detailed expertise and the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, as interpreted under European law Experience in responsible sourcing matters (i.e. sustainability and forced labor) is a plus Experience with E2Open and Oracle Global Trade Management tools is a plus [#LI-MS2]
