Job Description
The Trade Client Relations Senior Director is responsible for proactively bringing innovative pharmacy and medical rebate strategies and cost saving solutions to Prime’s clients to ensure Prime is delivering the highest quality and lowest cost of care to its members. The Trade Client Relations Senior Director has an in depth understanding of Prime’s strategic concepts as it relates to trade relations and works collaboratively with key internal stakeholders to measure and deliver financial opportunities to Prime’s clients.
Responsibilities
Work with Prime’s clients to translate complex client savings goals into rebate and cost saving opportunities, support rebate related product development, implementation and enhancement
Demonstrate an in depth understanding of rebate guarantees, pharmaceutical manufacturer rebate agreements and drug trends; provide proactive strategic and cost saving consultation
Provides clients with analysis and consultation on formulary and medical drug management strategies
Provides contract analysis and performs modeling of class-specific and pharmacy and medical rebate strategies that create financial savings opportunities for client organizations; enhance client adoption and provide proactive strategic consultation around Best in Care (Value Based) contracts including reporting and payment activities
Directly supports clients in making formulary decisions at client specific Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P & T) committee meetings; facilitate pharmacy Utilization Management Criteria and ensure medical policy is aligned with rebate contracts to maximize rebate value
Develops book of business and client specific models for Specialty therapeutic classes working in partnership with Prime’s Client Engagement team, Specialty strategy team, and Clinical Program Managers to deliver drug strategy recommendations to clients

Minimum Qualifications
PharmD or Bachelor of Science Pharmacy degree
7 years of related work experience in Trade/Rebates, PBM healthcare or insurance
Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Master’s degree in Business, Finance or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required
10 years of related work experience Trade/Rebates, PBM healthcare or insurance
Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Additional Qualifications
Experience in financial analysis
Excellent oral and written presentation skills, with demonstrated communication and financial presentation skills to all levels of management
Ability to establish rapport and build relationships at all levels within an organization
Expert negotiation and influencing skills
Proven financial analysis and data analysis skills, with advanced proficiency in Access/Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with rebates, drug spend and formulary strategies
Broad understanding of PBM industry, operations, and business strategies
Minimum Physical Job Requirements
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch
Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Reporting Structure
Reports to an AVP in the Trade departmentPotential pay for this position ranges from $144,000.00 - $230,200.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
