  Governance and Experience is a global team responsible for ensuring our marketplace is safe and trustworthy for not only users, but also sellers and creators. We value user satisfaction and work on policies, rules and systems to ensure quality. The Intellectual Property Rights protection function within the Governance and Experience team is committed to protecting intellectual property rights and maintaining a healthy and safe e-commerce environment on TikTok's E-commerce Platforms.

  - Act as a subject matter expert for intellectual property and anti-counterfeit risk, focusing on intellectual property rights infringement and implementing process improvements to drive efficiency of the IPR program in the US region.

  - Leading and operating end-to-end proactive monitoring programs to minimize the IPR risk (counterfeit, copycat and etc.) in different product scenarios, such as listings, accounts, contents etc.

  - Lead and support teams in responding to, investigating, managing and resolving high-impact brand related incidents and escalations around IPR issues.

  - Identify the gaps, loopholes and deficiency in policy/process/metrics and initiate new programs to drive optimization to minimize the IPR risk (counterfeit, copycat and etc.) on the platform.

  - Define operational metrics, indicators, and own dashboard to monitor various aspects of IPR risk operation effectiveness and efficiency.

  - Own and/or manage projects designed to improve operational and process efficiency. This will include working extensively with cross functional teams.

  - Plan and roll out events and activities to promote awareness of IPR protection for internal and external stakeholders, while closely monitoring media and global events to anticipate and mitigate potential brand related risks.

  - Be comfortable using data to analyze trends, predict and fix problems before they happen.

  - Maintain strong cross-functional partnerships with other teams to implement optimal solutions to IPR-related problems as well as outsourcing needs.

  Qualifications

  - Bachelor's or Masters degree in computer science, operations research, statistics, mathematics, or equivalent fields is a plus.

  - At least 10+ years of experience working in relevant industries, such as brand protection/relations, investigations especially intellectual properties/fraud related areas, risk management/ escalation handling.

  - Proficient skills in data analysis and visualization using SQL & Excel; Experience with analytical tools is a plus (SAS, R, Python).

  - Demonstrates capacity for critical thinking and analysis with strong attention to detail.

  - Ability to manage ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced working environment.

  - Ability to build relationships and effectively liaise with people at all levels.

  - Excellent collaboration skills with internal and external cross-functional teams.

  - Program/Project Management skills, with experience in collaborating with different business and technical stakeholders.

  - Develop and execute project plans, independently monitor, and ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.

  - Experience in E-commerce Intellectual Property Protection will be a plus.

  Job Information

  [For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)

  The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $172900 - $304000 annually.

  Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

  We cover 100% premium coverage for employee medical insurance, approximately 75% premium coverage for dependents and offer a Health Savings Account(HSA) with a company match. In addition to Flexible Spending Account(FSA) Options like Health Care, Limited Purpose and Dependent Care.

  Our time off and leave plans are: 10 paid holidays per year plus 17 days of Paid Personal Time Off (PPTO) (prorated upon hire and increased by tenure) and 10 paid sick days per year as well as 12 weeks of paid Parental leave and 8 weeks of paid Supplemental Disability.
