About the Team
The E-commerce Business Communications team is a hub to streamline and strengthen communication and understanding between business teams and supporting functions to bridge gaps and build trust and ensure smooth and accurate communications internally and externally.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Based on the interest of TikTok Commerce business, work closely with corporate or regional communications teams of South East Asia to jointly develop communications strategy and execution for TikTok Commerce, providing professional counsel and support, to ensure message accuracy and consistency and risks mitigated;
2. Develop a strong understanding of business, to support the development of a comprehensive strategy for the TikTok Commerce department projects, emphasizing privacy, inclusivity, and platform integrity;
3. Develop a solid understanding of media landscapes and a passion for user well-being, as well as experience in platform communications and commercial business details, in order to lead and implement related projects on behalf of the commercial team;
4. Oversee issue handling strategies around commerce business issues and manage issues after proper assessment;
5. Work as a key coordinator between corporate or regional communications teams and business teams to bridge the information gap, provide responsive support to communications related requests.
Qualifications
1. BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required;
2. Proven understanding of SEA media landscapes and media's work mechanism, solid experience in communications and PR is preferred, proven track record of working as a business partner is preferred;
3. Deep understanding of public opinions and media sentiment about commerce;
4. Ability to work actively in a high-impact team in a collaborative and empathetic way;
5. Excellent strategic, analytical, and verbal communication skills, proven track record of writing to an extremely high standard;
6. Proven track record of leading or supporting CSR projects is preferred;
7. Ability to cope well and gain trust with internal stakeholders, proven track record of working in a dynamic and large organization is preferred;
8. Ability to multitask efficiently under pressure and ambiguity, with self-starting and motivated attitudes in a cross-cultural and fast-paced environment;
9. Understanding of the e-commerce industry and the familiarity of how e-commerce products work is preferred.
