JOB REQUIREMENTS: Test Technician II - WD33520DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: What you will do Based at our BatteryTechnology Center located in Glendale, Wisconsin you will be responsiblefor conducting product validation testing of our lead-acid batteries andmanaging the laboratories\' shipping & receiving responsibilities. Howyou will do it * Verify our batteries meet customer requirements byperforming electrical and mechanical test procedures by: * Utilizebattery testing hardware and related software to perform tests, documentand communicate test results. * Assist with solving day-to-daytechnical problems associated with routine battery testing. * Plan andschedule work to effectively utilize laboratory resources and balancetesting priorities. * Utilize safe work practices and applicableregulatory requirements. Participate in regular safety meetings andaddress safety issues with management. * Report on project progress tointernal customers and management on a predefined cadence. * Establishand maintain good working customer relationships resulting in excellentcustomer satisfaction. * Participate in continuous improvement projectswhich aim to increase the lab\'s safety and efficiency. * Oversee allshipping & receiving duties related to our lead-acid and lithium-ionbattery products including but not limited to: * Prepare shipments withthe correct packaging and hazard designations according to respectiveregulations. * Ship materials to other Clarios facilities, externaltest laboratories, and customers both locally and globally. * Interfacewith Clarios logistics and regulatory personnel to ensure timely andsuccessful shipment of materials when shipping abroad. * Scheduleshipments with LTL or small parcel carriers. * Receive shipments andlog the shipping information for record keeping. * Answer the dockphone and prepare the dock for delivery or pick-up where necessary. *Inform Product Engineering, laboratory, and facilities employees whentheir shipments have been received or shipped. * Manage the shipment ofhazardous waste from the BTC laboratories.
