Position Description
Job Summary
The Territory Manager requires a unique individual with high energy, who is self-motivated along with a demonstrated track record of success. This position is responsible for the full range of account management activities associated with selling, growing, and servicing a Business Development Territory. The territory has a diverse account base that includes customers in the Industrial, Welding/Metal Fab and Construction Markets. End Users from the steel, composites, metal fab, wood, tool & die and automotive markets. The candidate would work closely with traditional industrial distribution, national distribution as well as welding, contractors and construction related distributors. Key measures of performance are sales vs. set targets, profitability, relationship building, proposing, and implementing sales growth programs, and uncovering, developing and growing new opportunities.
Required Qualifications
The incumbent should have proven sales and marketing skills and an ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written. Proven analytical, negotiating problem-solving and organizational skills are necessary. This means the incumbent must be skilled at working with & cultivating relationships with distribution through the region. Key account selling that involves complex buying decisions, data analysis, merchandising and an overall knowledge of manufacturers in the industrial marketplace. The incumbent will need to be capable in all Microsoft Office software, web applications, contact management database software and other forms of data mining and analysis.
Additional Description
The territory covers Northeast/Central Ohio. A geographic location would be in the Cleveland Metro area east to Lakewood and Rocky Rover. South to Medina, Akron/Canton.
Cleveland is internationally known for its Orchestra, Museums and Playhouse district. It is home to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Home to professional sports teams such as Cleveland Browns, Guardians and Cavaliers as well as the NFL Hall of Fame (Canton).
