This type of appointment is not approved to work more than 999 hours per year for all positions combined. Should incumbents work more than a total of 999 hours in a year the appointment may not continue beyond one year of service.
Seeking to hire several individuals to assist the University's mail services department from August - October. In anticipation of a high volume of student packages, clerks will assist with receiving, sorting, and delivering packages and US Mail. May be required to use an electronic tracking system or other postal related duties.
Requirements
Professional Experience/ Qualifications Ability to provide excellent customer service.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is essential.Ability to work collegially and effectively with a diverse group of constituents including students, faculty, staff, parents, and alumni.Ability to use email and learn basic mail sorting software.Ability, in some cases, to work weekends and evenings.Must have the ability to lift at least 50 lbs.Must be able to stand for long periods of time, climb stairs and work in inclement weather conditions.
