Applies skill in the maintenance of production equipment to ensure ongoing optimum performance, in compliance in EHS and other applicable quality and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assigns scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance routines to Technicians, supervise and verifies execution.
• If necessary can diagnose fails on a wider range of complex equipment to validate user operation and avoid program down time.
• Check for failures in equipment and perform or supervise execution of corrective actions to affected areas that have down time, including conducting and writing impact assessment reports of incidents.
• Troubleshoot and recommend maintenance to limit downtime, to keep production on schedule, and to ensure ongoing validation compliance.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of processes in the use of machines to ensure successful outcomes, as well as to devise complex process changes.
• Collaborate with Quality in devising and implementing corrective actions, exception work orders (EWOs), Equipment Non-conformance Reports (ENCRs), and Out of Tolerance (OOTs).
• Provide training, coaching, guidance, and information to lower level technicians as requested and needed.
• On time arrival to work, regular attendance without excessive absenteeism, and working a full 8 hour or longer work period

Education and Experience:
Other: in Industrial Technician in Electronics/Electricity Degree from a recognized institution in electric, mechanical, and/or electronics, 5 Years years experience related experience; working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, lubrication, pneumatic, boiler, and/or autoclave Required
Additional Skills:
• Good communication skills
• Able to read, comprehend, speak, and write English
• Good computer skills, including MS Office and Maximo
• Engineer degree is a plus
• Full knowledge of routine preventive maintenance of all production equipment including PLC and automatic access control systems
• External training in system troubleshooting (e.g., electrical, mechanical, and/or electronics)
• Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to department clean room medical device manufacturing
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing and Good Documentation Practices supporting a medical device environment
• Must be able to work independently and provide guidance and training to lower-level technicians
• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
