As a Technician in Engineering Services, you’ll provide solutions and services that help our customers protect and control critical electrical infrastructure and power systems worldwide.
As a T echnician , a typical day might include the following:
Apply concepts in the planning, design, testing, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical power systems.
Develop and maintain a basic level of knowledge in the detail design practices of SEL protection and automation systems as well as quality standards.
Conduct tests in support of department objectives , documenting and reporting malfunctions and identifying/analyzing undesirable trends.
Perform wiring modifications and physical installation of electrical protection, control, and automation equipment as required .
This job might be for you if:
Have the a bility to provide technical service and/or engineering support in an engineering environment
Have an Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent certification, training and experience
A re able to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings and wiring diagrams
Willing to travel up to 50 % of the time
Familiarity with Autocad , Microstation and AcSELerator Quickset and industry protocols (IEC-61850, DNP, Modbus)

Pay Range Data
Technician I $ 25.24 - $ 37.84 per hour .
Technician II $ 28.08 - $ 42.02 per hour .
Technician III $ 30.58 - $ 47.79 per hour .
Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
