U.S. Data Security ("USDS") is a standalone department of TikTok in the U.S. This new security-first division was created to bring heightened focus and governance to our data protection policies and content assurance protocols to keep U.S. users safe. Our focus is on providing oversight and protection of the TikTok platform and user data in the U.S., so millions of Americans can continue turning to TikTok to learn something new, earn a living, express themselves creatively, or be entertained. The teams within USDS that deliver on this commitment daily span Trust & Safety, Security & Privacy, Engineering, User & Product Ops, Corporate Functions and more.
In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.
Responsibilities
1. Project Planning and Execution
-Support project business case development
-Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
-Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets
-Manage professional employees or supervise others to deliver complex technical initiatives, with accountability for performance and results
-Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate security and compliance risks; escalate critical issues to senior management as needed and apply depth of expertise to guide others and interprets internal / external issues to recommend quality solutions
-Responsible for continuous process improvement, the identification of innovative solutions through research and analysis, insight and experience of best practices
2. Technical Documentation
-Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including project plans, requirements documents, and technical specifications
-Collaborate with stakeholders to gather technical information and ensure accuracy in documentation
-Translate technical concepts and complex information into clear, concise, and understandable documentation for various audiences
3. Stakeholder Engagement
-Communicate project status, updates, and issues to internal and external stakeholders
-Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations to ensure clear and effective communication
-Provide technical insights and recommendations to stakeholders to support decision-making
4. Quality Assurance
-Implement quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and completeness of deliverables
-Review and edit technical documents for clarity, consistency, and compliance with company standards
Qualifications
-Expert skills in program and project management disciplines and have a knowledge of requirements, tools, and methods to design, implement, and deploy security processes and systems
-Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner
-Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills by either leading or contributing to global multi-functional teams
-Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
-Ability to balance risks in ambiguous and complex situations
-Highly motivated to contribute and grow within a complex area of emerging importance
-Demonstrates excellent organizational skills, time management, problem-solving, prioritization, goal setting, leadership, motivation, negotiation, and interpersonal relations
-Works well under pressure and within time/budget constraints to solve problems or meet objectives
-Excellent fundamental knowledge of industry security standard frameworks
-Possess a high degree of integrity and the ability to lead and inspire change
-Experience building and growing a team to meet strategic and tactical objectives; mentoring and coaching staff
-Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or 5+ years of industry equivalent work experience in international security architecture and engineering in a converged security program
Preferred Qualifications:
-PMP
-CISSP / CISA / CISM
-Six Sigma or other process management

Job Information
[For Pay Transparency] Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $130000 - $183000 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
