The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy's units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

Technical Writing & Editing work focuses on writing documentation for technical products, systems, processes, equipment operations & maintenance, research findings, etc. for internal or external audiences, including: . Determining an effective structure and layout for complex manuals and other technical documentation. Conducting research and liaising with technical staff to ensure accurate interpretation of complex technical data, drawings, and specification. Ensuring that appropriate technical content and terminology review occurs, and that provision is made for the incorporation of updates and revisions. Editing content to improve clarity, impact, flow, meaning, and readability A Senior Professional (P3) applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities may include Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision. Coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level professionals. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.
Your Responsibilities:
Prepares product manuals and maintains them in accordance with the index defined by the project teams.Organizes final project documents and maintains them in the internal/external archives.Prepare technical literature for products installed in IMP projects.Need to co-ordinate with different suppliers for their respective product / component document and integrate with the main project documentation.Operate the document management systems required by the Engineering teams.Maintains lists of documents, codes document, ensures that the reviews, numbering, distribution, filing and registration are in compliance with procedures.Maintain control of approved documents and templates at a centralized location to ensure that latest revision is always referred.Apply company procedures related to documentation correctly.Safety and Integrity: Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your Background:
Min 4 to 5 years' experience in documentation and reporting in a production facility / factory environment.Sound knowledge of working with Adobe InDesign tool, Adobe suite of documentation tools.Experience in engaging with multiple project teams to gather project data for report generation.Shall be a self-driven individual.Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
