Job Description
Creates, develops, plans, writes, and edits operational, instructional, maintenance, test, or user documentation for Oracle E-Business Suite Applications. Contributes to the timely design, production, and delivery of product documentation and document sets.
Responsibilities
As a member of the technical writing division, you will design, create and deliver whole product documentation sets and/or related courseware. Edit, organize and direct the work activities of other technical writers and staff. Plan the format, arrange the layout of publications and edit work for conformance to publication standards and specifications.
Work is non-routine and complex, involving the application of advanced technical and business skills. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communications, Business, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communications, Business, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience relevant to a functional area.
3 to 5 years of software engineering, documentation development, or related experience.
Strong communication skills
Good writing, analytical, and research skills
Strong technical aptitude and the ability to work with technical teams
Ability to work with and mentor junior team members
Working knowledge of general computer applications
Familiar with technical writing authoring tools (e.g., MS Word, HTML, and XML Authoring systems, etc.)
The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, works well with teams, and possesses a willingness to learn.
