As a Technical Training Manager, you will lead the team of trainers responsible for onboarding, gowning, aseptic technique and product manufacturing training for multiple cell therapy products, media and ancillary support activities. You will be accountable for all aspects of staffing including recruiting talent, onboarding and training, performance management and strategic/succession planning for key roles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build an effective training program including all phases of training (new hire orientation, onboarding & systems access, product manufacturing training).
• Drive changes to training program that enhances quality of the program with the goal to shorten door to floor time.
• Tracks and monitors expenses associated with training including personnel, equipment and consumables; owns the training budget.
• Creates and tracks KPI’s to ensure training program performance and effectiveness.
• Works with team to resolve tactical issues and facilitate Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions (CAPAs). Ensures Deviations, CAPAs and Change Controls are appropriate and implemented on time.
• Performs prioritization of core operations, continuous improvement projects in line with Morris Plains long-term strategic plan.
• Maintains current knowledge of approved procedures and ensures SOPs and Work Instructions are periodically reviewed and updated as needed.
• Represents training and manufacturing operations during Health Authority inspections.
• Maximize Quality and process improvements with a business owner mindset.

Role Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Biopharmaceutical, Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or equivalent scientific degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in cGMP required, with aseptic and cell therapy manufacturing highly desirable.
• 5+ years of training experience required.
• Direct management experience required.
Desirable Requirements:
• Project management, Lean, or Operational Excellence experience desirable, but not required.
• Experience in training in cell and gene desirable, but not required.

Pay transparency statement: The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $112,800 and $169,200 a year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/24 through 12/31/24 fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
