job summary:
The Information Technology Support Specialist is responsible for analyzing,
troubleshooting, and evaluating technology issues. The assistance to others is done via the
telephone, email, and/or text messages. Periodic travel and physical presence may be required.
Job Details:
? Support and provide instruction on business specific websites or programs
? Assist staff or clients on reestablishing internet connections
? Deployment of new software or technology
? Provides administrative support for the IT Department, including password resets,
creating user accounts, monitoring activity logs
? Generates and resolves help ticket requests relating to technology issues
? Maintains technology inventory, including issuing and returning of equipment
? Installation and maintenance of network components, including routers, servers and
printers
? Develop training materials and visual displays
Requirements:
? Travel 10-25% of the time, required to Winston-Salem and Durham
? Ability to communicate will all levels of employees in both North Carolina and Virginia
? Ability to work with vendors on support, billing, and administrative issues
? Must have at least 2 years of technical support experience
? Attention to detail, required
? Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form
? Experience with Microsoft Azure, preferred
? Experience with Microsoft Office and Windows, required
? Experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
? Previous work experience in a Human Services environment is a plus
Educational Requirements:
? High School Diploma, Required
? 4- year degree in a technology related field, preferred
? In lieu of a 4-year degree, an Associate Degree with computer certifications, such as
CompTIA A+ and/or Fundamentals+ is preferred
? Additional Certificates in Microsoft, Google, or other technology programs are optional
