Technical Requirements Specialist
Position Description
The ideal candidate for this position is a curious problem solver. As a Technical Requirements Specialist, you will use your knowledge, skills, and abilities to solve organizational information challenges and will use your critical thinking skills to identify client requirements and translate those into detailed instructions for your development team to execute. The ideal Technical Requirements Specialist also has basic SQL experience, strong communication skills, an understanding of how to read software code and application logs, ability to learn advanced technical concepts, and is able to build relationships with both their team members and clients.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Gather, develop, document, and validate technical, business, and functional requirements.
-Act as a Scrum Master on scrum meetings.
-Interact with senior developers and solution architects to communicate and validate requirements.
-Gather, develop, document, and validate technical, business, and functional requirements.
-Perform and automate functional and API testing.
-Prepare and maintain project documentation and artifacts including analysis and technical documentation.
-Work with the development team to read software code and understand how the logic of core functionality translate through the user interface.
-Assist in application debugging by reading log files and traversing code and databases to identify potential issue resolutions.
-Works with project managers, developers, and end users to ensure application designs meet business requirements.
-Assists all phases of software systems programming applications.
-Evaluates new and existing software products.
- Facilitate meetings, preparing meeting agendas, and taking meeting minutes on technical subject matter.
-Author user stories, SQL scripts, test scripts, and other Agile deliverables
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
US Citizenship required.
-Bachelor's degree, Computer Information Systems or similar
-4 years work experience as a technical analyst on an agile software-focused team
-Knowledge of SDLC
-Experience working in a large complex system
-Excellent communication skills
-Basic understanding SQL scripts
-Ability to work effectively within a team environment under tight timelines
-Ability to multi-task and support multiple projects at once
-Experience working with JIRA and Confluence
-Desire to understand the details of the system
-Will accept candidates with a Masters degree plus 1 year experience
Nice to haves:
oSystem Architect experience
oUnderstand REST or SOAP APIs
Basic understanding of Azure Cloud Service Offerings
This role must be located in one of the following locations: Fairfax, VA; Lafayette, LA

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $65,500- $91,700"
