Position Details and Responsibilities
SkyePoint Decisions is seeking a Technical Proposal Writer to assist with organizing and developing responses to federal requests for proposals, requests for information, whitepapers, and position papers. This person will work with the CTO, proposal manager, capture leads, operations teams, subject matter experts, and executive teams to analyze solicitations, determine proposal requirements, develop the response strategy, and submit a compliant, responsive proposal. They will write, tailor, and edit content that supports technical and management sections, staffing, quality, and performance plans, and/or past performance and resume segments. The technical writer will be required to integrate SkyePoint's unique win themes and strategic messaging throughout RFP, RFI, and Whitepapers creating compelling content. This role requires an individual comfortable with adapting and reacting to shifting priorities, new challenges, and tight deadlines.
Location: This position is hybrid (two days in corporate office in Dulles, VA) for candidates in the DMV area. Fully-remote work is negotiable based on experience and location of candidate. If remote, occasional travel to DC and customer sites, may be needed.
Responsibiltiies:
Outlines, writes, develops, and recovers narrative content across diverse technology, and topic requirements. Depending on experience, the incumbent will be called upon to manage sections, volumes, or entire responses. Identifies and suggests graphic content to support the narrative content. Conducts interviews with key personnel, subcontractors, program managers, and subject matter experts to elicit information for resumes, past performance, management, and technical content. Generates deliverables, including annotated outlines, first drafts, compliance matrices, data calls, etc. Edits papers for spelling, typographical, and grammatical errors, and proper syntax, as well as readability, ease of comprehension, and consistency. Engages key clients, Subject Matter Experts and company thought leaders to develop trusted relationships reflecting positive Customer and SkyePoint cultural attributes.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree or relevant work experience Two to seven years of experience writing and/or managing federal proposals.A combination of education and/or experience with IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management, Business Management, and/or Professional Writing disciplines.Must possess strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint. Ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required. To be successful in the role you must have:

Flexibility: The individual must be able to adjust to frequent changes in priorities, effectively manage time and work across multiple projects with competing deadlines.
