You will work closely with internal RMTO teams providing technical leadership based on what is best for both the product and the customer. You will partner with external cross-functional teams both upstream and downstream to ensure alignment to the build schedule and deliverables. You will own creation, adoption, and continuous improvement of the build playbook which works backwards from a clear-to-build milestone.

  Key job responsibilities

  • Create and manage a build playbook that is specific to your respective value stream or program and inclusive of all tasks and timelines defined by each cross-functional team.

  • Create a work backwards schedule from a CTB point in time, track and report critical path, status, dependencies and owners in a project management software.

  • Ensure cross-functional teams are executing to plan to meet CTB by diving deep into the details.

  • Be on-site for all build activities and send daily or weekly build reports capturing yield, help needed and other build activities.

  • Manage and submit a unified fixture & tooling budget through a capital appropriation request (CAR) in partnership with Process Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing and Manufacturing Test teams.

  • Manage and track build exception lists to funnel deviations and/or changes to help RMTO fill the gap for Hardware Engineering.

  • Partner with Robotics Supply Chain (RSC) to ensure on-time delivery of parts with proper tracking and traceability mechanisms.

  • Drive cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of all functions.

  • Host “Clear-to-Ship” reviews after build execution to ensure all build criteria have been met for our customers prior to shipment of products.

  • Host daily, weekly and/or monthly build calls to ensure performance to plan and unblock any issues.

  • Host lessons learned/post mortem reviews to capture build improvements, then ensure improvements are bridged before next build.

  • Manage and track yield, defects, and yield bridging from build to build for individual programs. Implement standardized tracking mechanism in partnership with Quality and PE.

  • Track and continuously improve on build timelines from program to program – we should get faster the more we mature.

  • Create & manage communication channels between cross-functional teams.

  • Create & manage document repositories for all RMTO teams and programs.
