The Kindle Royalty Costing & Accounting team is responsible for providing accurate and timely royalty calculations and accounting entries for Kindle sales and borrows. Publishers and authors of all shapes and sizes rely on Amazon to correctly account for all book sales so that they are paid correctly.
We are looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager with a strong business and technical focus to lead a critical program defining the future of reading. You will closely work with product managers, software development teams, and business teams to understand the domain and ensure that the design meets the requirements. You will need to articulate technology choices and decisions to a diverse group and be able to influence them. In all, this role is an exciting mix of solid technical complexity, partnering with the business team, and delivery excellence.
What you will do here: Lead planning, execution and delivery of projects across multiple teams, break down complex business requirements into manageable projects, write functional specifications, create system design, solve complex technical problems, interface with multiple teams, and deliver solutions in a successful, agile, and timely manner.
A successful candidate will bring deep technical and software expertise, strong project management skills, good judgment and desire to have an industry wide impact and ability to work within a fast-moving environment in a large company to rapidly deliver services that have a broad business impact.

Basic Qualifications
3+ years of technical product or program management experience
2+ years of software development experience
3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $101,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $197,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
