In IT Services we design, build and maintain all of the corporate technology our workforce needs day-to-day, so they can in-turn deliver great products to our customers. We concentrate on delivering modern IT Services, offices, technology and support which enables our workforce to be more mobile and productive. We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to join IT Services to provide structure and predictability on global initiatives working with our product development teams and partner teams
A Technical Program Manager functions as a bidirectional translation layer between the business and technical disciplines, ensuring alignment between business expectations and technical feasibility. We lead programs involving technical solutions to business problems involving multiple, cross-functional product teams by owning the answers to "When" and "Who". We define clear scope and realistic delivery plans, manage change and risk, and measure progress against clearly-defined success metrics. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills to ensure alignment between our Business Operations teams, Product Development teams, and leadership teams across both orgs. Develop and drive a program of continuous improvement for an organization encompassing multiple workflows and constraints. We are looking for someone who loves to find ambiguity - and eradicate it. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent, and leadership are essential to success in this role. As a TPM, you will work with Engineering Managers to expose delivery bottlenecks and provide escalation management where necessary. You will use data to balance customer and business needs against technical constraints; if the data you want doesn't exist, you find a way to make it happen. We work backwards from the customer, always. You will reduce ambiguity through detailed functional and non-functional requirements, system design, and implementing mechanisms to improve technical delivery efficiency. As a TPM, you delight in building self-perpetuating mechanisms to solve recurring problems, instead of a manual process. In addition to the above, knowledge of the following is required: scrum methodologies, agile project management, release (program increment) scheduling. B.Responsible Deliver key technical programs from inception to business-as-usual, with stakeholders across multiple teams, product groups, and business units. Be able to influence architectural and technical aspects of services and processes. Stakeholder and communication management, including working closely with Engineering and Product sponsors to deliver these critical programs. Identify and drive resolution for dependencies and risks to delivery of a live product for internal customers. Coordination of external implementation parties when required. Align engineering planning with business initiatives. Own and drive delivery governance across the organization, ensuring this is fit for purpose and fits in with existing practices and organization culture. Strategic, outcome-focused planning to influence customer roadmaps. Provide program transparency through predictable, proactive reporting tailored to the appropriate audience (Senior LT, Engineering Teams, and stakeholders) so that service and business owners have clear visibility on initiatives. Proactively identify ways to improve processes and capabilities to ensure we are compliant, efficient, and up to date and ensure all ServiceNow and industry standards are adhered throughout project execution. Apply SDLC best practices for projects based on experiences with a number of agile and blended approaches, as well effectively coordinating the implementations across multiple teams with different approaches. Support and help drive annual and quarterly planning by forecasting and budgeting processes to ensure we have visibility on forecast of license costs, and are managing to forecast budget costs for the team. B.Skilled 1-2 years experience of delivering / leading complex technical programs at a large scale Knowledge of ITIL best practices for service and asset management Desirable Experience in delivering software in Agile environment; Agile certification preferred Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related technical field, or related experience. Experience using query-able data sources to solve business impact questions Proven experience using a range of lean/agile project/programme management methods Proven experience balancing multiple priorities and resolving ambiguity Proven experience of stakeholder engagement and stakeholder management at all levels of an organization Effective communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong conflict resolution, negotiation and influencing skills Excellent understanding of business objectives and goals Excellent interpersonal/communication and presentation skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently toward established goals Ability to multitask, solve problems resourcefully, and work well under pressure We value Diversity of all types and in an open, dynamic workplace.
