About Technical Program Manager, Construction Prefabrication

  Minimum qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  10 years of relevant work experience managing multi-group, multi-disciplinary construction projects and designs.

  5 years of experience in program management.

  Experience creating prefabrication work packages for construction.

  Preferred qualifications:

  Experience working with electrical and mechanical infrastructure systems or large-scale mission critical facilities.

  Experience with productivity tracking, budget and schedule management, and earned value reporting.

  Experience breaking down electrical and mechanical design into work packages.

  Experience constructing technical facilities.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

  Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

  The US base salary range for this full-time position is $139,000-$208,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

  Manage the design, manufacturing, and installation of prefabricated assemblies for data center construction in North America.

  Facilitate the creation of new pre-fabricated assemblies through electrical and mechanical work packaging/workface planning. Manage electrical and mechanical trades, supply chain vendors, and integrators.

  Be responsible for gathering internal requirements and delivering solutions that satisfy customer needs while maintaining end-to-end responsibility from construction to deployment.

  Resolve critical issues within the matrix organization while maintaining adherence to project timelines and costs. Drive consensus and compromise while engaging with customers, cross-functional partners, and other internal organizations.

  Work independently on difficult construction challenges requiring in-depth analysis and evaluation of business situations. Communicate project information and updates to Googlers and leadership appropriately.
