Responsibilities
As Technical Program Manager for Word web performance and reliability, your responsibilities will include:
Defining quantifiable and ambitious quarterly/annual Objective and Key Results in partnership with engineering and product leadership.
Establish and maintain project schedules and adjustments on a monthly basis.
Drive coordination of cross organizational efforts, align shared OKRs and track progress and report status monthly.
Track and drive accountability of cross team dependencies.
Identify gaps in end-to-end requirements.
Maintain prioritized performance and reliability backlogs including partner dependencies.
Drive the culture of performance across Word and our partners (includes codifying guidelines, coordinating office hours, wikis, consulting, etc..)
Build, maintain, and communicate dashboards & queries for performance, and ensuring they align with other dashboards/queries across OPG where Word appears
Consolidate, contribute and review all relevant data views and updates for all the various reporting forums (e.g. weekly updates, bi-weekly checkpoints, monthly deep dives, monthly service reviews, etc).
Define user experience priorities and principles and use it to sequence work.
Identify areas that need new experience to support fundamentals goals and partner with Product Management and Design to develop solutions.
Collaborate effectively with Engineering and Product Management disciplines to achieve shared outcomes.
Qualifications
We will be selecting candidates that have the best mix of the following qualifications:
5+ years of professional experience designing, developing, testing, or managing projects in shipping software.
3+ years of industry experience as a Program Manager.
Technical proficiency in web (HTML5 and JavaScript/TypeScript) and/or service (C#, Java, etc) technologies.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to communicate in English in both written and verbal forms.
A BS or equivalent work experience in computer software related fields.
