Overview
Paychex North America Inc. seeks a full time Technical Lead at our offices located at 2700 Patriot Blvd, Suite 300, Glenview, IL 60026.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of software developers and provide technical direction on application development projects using agile methodology. Validate requirements, and perform analysis and design for system improvements and new applications.Research new software and platform technologies and make recommendations for adoption.Participate in technical discussions with cross-functional business teams to ensure performance, stability of applications and make changes to scale application's capabilities.Design software architecture using UML (Unified modeling language), applying usage of coding patterns, and provide use cases for application modules.Develop advanced software framework components.Ensure team compliance with standards for consistency of coding, including identifying code, process and/or standard inefficiencies and suggesting new standards and opportunities for improvement.Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including client interactions, requirements gathering, application design, development, testing, debugging, deployment, maintenance and enhancements.Create documents describing the functional and technical design, requirements.Participate in agile sprint planning sessions, and provide project estimates.Provide technical mentorship in applications, architecture, processes, and standards to aid in the professional development of team members.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field, followed by five years of experience in a software development or engineering role. Experience, which may be gained concurrently, must include each of the following:5 years of experience utilizing C#, ASP.Net, MVC, .Net framework, SQL, JQuery, JavaScript, MS SQL Server for database development, and LINQ queries to business objects for data retrieval;5 years of experience utilizing Visual Studio, Scripting, and Object Oriented methodologies to build customer facing applications;5 years of experience building customer facing applications; and5 years of experience working with source code control tools (TFS or Git), including solving merge conflict.
