Join the Technical Art Team at Meta and work on cutting-edge technology that shapes the future of Avatars in social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Horizon. You'll have the opportunity to push the boundaries of what's possible in the world of Avatars for 2D, VR, and AR platforms. As a Technical Artist, you will be partnering closely with Art and Engineering teams to develop state-of-the-art tools and pipelines to build the foundational technology for Meta’s next generation Avatars. Partner closely with Art, Design and Engineering teams to define and develop Avatars technologies for Meta’s products and apps.
Design, implement, and maintain the corresponding art and animation pipelines.
Optimize content for performance and share best practices with cross-functional partners.
Collaborate, iterate and align with cross-functional leads.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Problem-solving skills – understanding the underlying technology and tools necessary to power an advanced avatar system
Experience with Python, C#, or C++ in complex real-time 3D applications and game engines (e.g. Unreal, Unity)
Proven track record for developing artist pipelines and/or animation systems
Portfolio showcasing 3D Art and rigging experience in a DCC (e.g. Maya)
Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment solving complex problems

Knowledge of emerging technologies, including XR, AI, USD
Knowledge of parametric 3D content creation
Public Compensation:
$130,000/year to $180,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
