  Job Description

  As a Senior Technical Engineer specializing in Cloud support within our Support organization, your primary objective is to provide advanced support and solutions to Oracle's Cloud customer base. You will be a strong advocate for Service Teams needs, addressing non-technical Service Teams inquiries through various channels and handling technical questions related to the usage and troubleshooting of our Cloud Services. Serving as a critical point of contact for customers, your role involves fostering and managing relationships with Support. Additionally, you will be crucial in advising and assisting Oracle Cloud support employees in navigating diverse customer situations and handling escalated issues. Your expertise and dedication will contribute significantly to ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining high standards of support excellence in the Cloud domain.

  Responsibilities

  As a Principal Support Engineer:

  Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to successfully deliver GPU technical programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

  Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration across diverse teams, including engineering, product management, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration and execution of technical initiatives.

  Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, from planning and initiation to execution and closure, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards, and score carding KPI’s for service delivery.

  Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with technical programs and develop proactive mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project deliverables.

  Resource Management: Effectively allocate and manage resources, including personnel, budget, and technology, to optimize program outcomes for rapid deployment.

  Communication: Maintain clear and open communication channels with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, milestones, and any deviations from the plan.

  Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce robust quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality technical solutions through the service delivery workflows.

  Problem Resolution: Lead the resolution of technical issues and challenges, making informed decisions to keep programs on track and within scope.

  Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging lessons learned from previous programs to enhance future processes and outcomes.

  Escalation Management: Manage and escalate critical issues to appropriate teams, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

  Leadership: Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the program team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.The successful candidate will bring a combination of technical expertise, program management skills, and leadership experience to contribute to the overall success of our technical initiatives.

  Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the United States only

  Hiring Range: from $31.83 to $67.93 per hour; from $66,200 to $141,300 per annum. May be eligible for equity.

  Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

  Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  11 paid holidays

  Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
