Job Description
Our client is seeking a Technical Manager with a background in coastal and riverine modeling to join their team in a remote capacity. This person will be responsible for the oversight of a small team that is dedicated to mapping for coastal and riverine flooding. This team works with Project Managers across several projects to satisfy ad hoc requests for mapping/modeling. The Technical Manager will guide and mentor the team, reviewing models as they are created. A small portion of this role will involve contributing to task order responses including writing technical pieces for proposals.
Skills and Requirements
Bachelors degree in Coastal Engineering, Riverine Engineering, or similar
10-15 years of professional experience in coastal and/or riverine engineering. Must have touched both at some point.
Experience leading a team
Experience on FEMA's National Flood Insurance Program or similar federal contracts requiring coastal and riverine flood hazard analysis
Proficient in hydrodynamic and wave modeling software (ADCIRC, Delft3D, SWAN, WHAFIS, ArcGIS, and XBeach)
Professional engineer license (Preferred) null
