How will you make an impact?
Lead ULS operations in QC Media, Buffer, Lab Consumables, and Parts Wash areas, and ensure customer business needs and documentation practices are met consistently
What will you do?
• Ensure proper training (EHSS, SOPs, Qualifications) is assigned to the team and completed in a timely manner
• Triage safety or compliance incidents and participate in investigation & CAPA execution
• Address customer concerns and communicate issues/flow interrupters to Amgen Quality Control and ULS management
• Coordinate assets and adjust schedules as appropriate to handle peak workloads
• Monitor team productivity - track and report operational metrics, savings initiatives, SLA adherence
• Manage business continuity plans and promote cross-training
• Lead and/or participate in internal and client meetings related to QC
Meet with Amgen QC management on a routine basis to review service levels and share feedback
• Drive process improvements and partnering as applicable
• HR-related: Manage employee performance, onboard/terminate employees, timecards, supervise employee engagement & attrition, cultivate strong team mentality
• Provide in-lab operational support on an as needed basis including:Operator level gowning for entrance and work performed in manufacturing suitesOperation of Waters and Agilent HPLC analysis systems using SEC, IEC, RPC, and Affinity chromatography methodsHPLC Analysis for Purity, Identify, and Concentration (PIC) for STAT and non-STAT samplesInterpret HPLC result data for molecule PIC based Method acceptance criteriaIndependent data verification of HPLC analysis product for PICCommunication with manufacturing management analysis results for forward processing of commercial productEnsures that, equipment, materials, processes, and procedures align with cGMP practices and other applicable regulationsAlerts Customer management of quality, compliance, supply and safety riskMaintaining metric data for work performedMaintain Quality Control reagents within customer validated Consumable Inventory Management System (CIMS), including adding reagents, uploading C of A, determination of chemical equivalents, crafting sub-inventories, and discarding of itemsPerform primary trainer responsibility for customer validated Methods and proceduresParticipate in individual or group projects that can include, cost savings analysis, learning groups, writing job training methods, and leading team meetingsConduct daily scans of inventory and weekly cycle counts
