The Team Lead in the Regulatory Operations team will focus on E2E ownership and execution of the regulatory reconciliation and operation process as well as PSP settlement flows. From overseeing & driving process implementation the role will serve as review, control & representative function on all activities in scope.
Continuously helps to apply the finance strategy aligned with Booking.com's business objectives by working on key initiatives connected to online payment products and the impact of them in financial processes.

The Team Lead manages a team of Accountants, Process Owners and Senior Process Owners and serves as a business advisor to their stakeholders. The Team Lead prioritizes and delegates new initiatives and projects based on business impact. He or she develops the team to ensure KPIs, SLAs and deadlines are met so that the Regulatory Operations team help scale business and steer business decisions.
Task & Responsibilities: Develope, manage and inspire a team of (Senior) Process Owners and Accountants, translating company, and departmental goals into team and personal objectives Ensure consistent design of payment regulated processes across B.com Ensure efficient execution and implementation of PSP funding enhancements Build and devel a proficient knowledge of Regulated Processes under a Payments and e-money license framework Establish a reporting framework which supports decision making, accountability, and process improvements, keeping in mind control environment and compliance requirements Ensure roadmap alignment with internal and external stakeholders Provide business support on a range of ad-hoc/cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives Work closely with other technical, operational or analytical departments to provide business support and suggest process improvements. Actively interact with the product communities within Booking.com to understand developments in the company's products and the impact that has on his/her team Serve as the leader of the team, ensuring work tasks are adequately prioritized and completed, team member's workloads are balanced and actively monitored Ensure individual team member's OKRs are in alignment with team roadmap Drive team OKRs and roadmap Track and monitor performance levels, and manage underperformance in the team Work with management to implement process changes by identifying process improvements. Prepare and conduct performance reviews and keep track of progress during the year Requirements: Post-graduate Master degree/ specialized advanced diploma in Finance or Treasury Management; 5-8 years of relevant working experience Experience working under regulated frameworks Able to be an effective people manager yet just as comfortable rolling up the sleeves to get the job done in a demanding and evolving start-up environment Motivational people manager who believes in building teams of high performing individuals and knows what it takes to do this in a rounded and people-centered way Excellent English speaker with strong communication skills, able to adapt style and approach in order to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders from a variety of different cultures; Able to keep the overview of several complex tasks / projects that run at the same time; Able to proactively drive and prioritize the assigned projects and reach the preset objectives Understand the impact of the team and the bigger picture Demonstrate tenacity, drive, ability to inspire and collaborate Demonstrate analytical and curious mindset, tenacity, drive, and ability to inspire and collaborate Strong systems knowledge and experiences with systems, in particular SAP FI / FICA (including S4 Hana), and if possible SWIFT, Tableau/ BI reporting tooling.
