Job Description:
The Team Lead Category Strategy is accountable for developing and imbedding robust category strategies for mutual customer and Mars Wrigley benefit that are routed in Consumer/Customer and Shopper Insights. Leverage category knowledge and analysis with team to drive category growth with Mars Customers through partnership with the Customer Activation team. Proactively identify strategic category opportunities for our customers at both business planning timing and on an on-going basis. As well as Develop and disseminate category management best practices across the organization.
This role is also responsible for executing the Perfect Store initiative designed to transform physical availability and drive profitable NSV growth by step changing the quantity and quality of our brand execution in store
What are we looking for?
University degree or equivalence8+ years experience in blue chip FMCG/consumer products, Sales, Category or related functions
What will be your key responsibilities?
Develop and Implement Category Principles with retailers that will lead to category growth. Develop Strategic alliance with key retailers.Embed the Category Vision across the organizationLeading the formation, deployment and execution of Mars Wrigley's physical availability (distribution) strategy, including aligning the business through the planning cycleResponsible for the management of and developing expertise in external market and consumer data sources (AC Nielsen).Continuously evaluate opportunities as an input the S&OP+ and business planning cycle processes, including the PMR, DMR, MBR and Collaborative PlanningDeploying the Perfect Store Budget efficiently to maximize ROI and drive mutual achievement of objectives (Mars, customer and category)Integrating with other Perfect Store enablers e.g., sales incentives, trade architecture, retail coverage model and sales force automation.Testing physical availability initiatives and once proven embed the learnings within the business.Collaborating with the Global Perfect Store team in order to share/receive best practice and drive the long-term Mars Perfect Store capability agenda
