JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor\'s Degree in Education.Any equivalent combination of training, education or experience thatmeets the minimum qualifications and state certificationrequirements will be accepted.Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at thetimes designated.Plans a program of study, which as much as possible, meets theindividual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning andappropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.Prepares for classes assigned and shows written evidence ofpreparation upon request of immediate superior.Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroombehavior.Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculumgoals and, in harmony with the goals establishes clear objectivesfor all lessons, units, and projects to communicate these objectivesto students.Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructionalmedia, consistent with the physical limitations of the locationprovided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals orstudent groups involved.Strives to implement by instruction and action the Districtsphilosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives.Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis andprovides progress reports as required.Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students,equipment, materials, and facilities.Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required bylaw, District policy, and administrative regulation.Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rulesgoverning student life and conduct, and for the classroom, developsreasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and maintainsorder in the classroom in a fair and just manner.Makes provision for being available to students and parents foreducation-related purposes outside the instructional day whenrequired or requested to do so under reasonable terms.Plans and supervises purposeful assignments for teacher aide(s) andvolunteer(s) and, cooperatively with departments heads, evaluatestheir job performance.Strives to maintain and improve professional competence.Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees as required.Performs other related duties as assigned.Certificates andLicenses:
