Pay Philosophy
The typical starting salary range for this role ($114,000 - $135,000) is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

2 days in office, 3 days from home.

Corporate Taxation at Liberty Mutual

Responsibilities: Manage the timely and accurate preparation and review of state tax compliance assignments. Conduct research for complex state tax technical and state tax accounting issues independently, or with assistance of staff. Develop and support the implementation of timely, cost-effective state tax planning strategies designed to create value and enhance the Company's state tax position. Manage the timely and accurate preparation and review of state tax Financial Reporting assignments. Manage projects, ensuring adequate resources and capabilities are available to deliver results. Develop and support the implementation of timely, cost-effective state tax planning strategies designed to create value and enhance the Company's state tax position. Actively lead and participate in Department and Company initiatives. Identify, develop, and lead the implementation of process improvements. Monitor key legislative, regulatory, and/or tax litigation issues. Identify and communicate developments relevant to the Company to senior management. Act as a mentor to staff through training, coaching and providing feedback on performance. Work effectively with other areas of Corporate Taxation and other Finance functions, and demonstrate leadership in cross-functional initiatives. Training:
You will participate in training that is among the best in the industry. You will be taught the skills you will need to become a successful tax professional. You will attend customized training programs on tax technical and tax accounting techniques, as well as learn insurance concepts. Will be provided separately to recruiting team.
Qualifications BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Business (or a BS and equivalent tax and accounting experience) CPA preferred Requires a minimum of 5 years of taxation experience as well as prior experience leading projects About Us
