Provide tax advocacy and controversy services on civil matters. Representing clients for IRS notice responses, penalty abatement requests, and other IRS negotiations.Advocate on clients' behalf before IRS collections and all 50 state tax agenciesRespond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries when requested, make recommendations to the client for considerationInvest in professional development through active participation in training sessions and networking events both internally and externally.Demonstrate excellent team skills, positive attitude and high ethical standards.QualificationsSuccessful candidates will have:
EA Required (CPA or JD optional). Must have a PTIN.Bachelor's degree in Accounting or e uivalent.3-6 or more years of experience in a professional services firm providing tax compliance services or equivalent government agency. Previous experience in tax advocacy or controversy a plusDemonstrated analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills, and developed Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel) requiredAbility to provide exceptional client service, willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of dutiesThe ability to work effectively in a team environment and comfortably interact with both internal and external clients on a daily basis.Excellent written/verbal communications and collaboration skillsStrong project management and facilitation skillsAdditional InformationFor California, Colorado, New York and Washington: The compensation range for this role is $86,220 to $182,770. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.#LI-remote
