  Prudential Financial is seeking a motivated individual to join the Tax Department located in Newark, NJ. The position requires a team player that is highly organized, responsive, analytical and flexible and can handle multiple projects while producing accurate and timely results. The primary responsibilities of the position will include financial reporting and forecast, US tax compliance, and tax planning and analysis for Prudential's International Insurance business.

  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  Preparation or review of quarterly and annual financial reporting and analysis of US GAAP and Adjusting Operating Income taxes for international life insurance, non-insurance entities, and/or US affiliatesPreparation of quarterly US taxable income forecast for international life insurance, non-insurance entities, and/or US affiliatesPreparing estimated earnings and profits, GILTI, subpart F inclusion for forecast, actual, and modeling purposes.Analyzing US GAAP pre-tax income drivers and US GAAP/Cash Tax impacts.Preparing of US GAAP income tax and US cash tax models for M&As and developing tax legislative changesPartnering with International Business Unit Controllers, Actuarial, Treasury, Investment Teams in the US and other countriesPartnering with co-sourcing partners in preparation of International Tax Compliance for controlled foreign corporations, controlled foreign partnerships, and disregarded foreign entities.Partnering with external service provider in preparation of US transfer pricing documentation

  Qualifications

  Education/Experience Requirements:

  Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or other related business disciplines requiredCPA and/or master's degree in tax or accounting a plusCorporate Tax experience (2-3 years) - financial services sector is preferred; life insurance experience a plusStrong oral and written communication skillsExcellent organizational/analytical skills requiredProven leadership track record strongly desiredSolid PC skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365CorpTax Compliance & Financial reporting software

  Additional Knowledge/Skills:

  US GAAP Income Tax Accounting (ASC740)Understanding of life insurance taxation (SSAP 101) a plusUnderstanding of international tax concepts (GILTI, Sub F, E&P, BEAT) a plusUnderstanding of financial service companies including insurance, investments, and asset management a plusStrong work ethic and able to partner in a team-oriented environmentOrganized and flexible - ability to manage multiple projects/assignments, while meeting deadlines

  Other comments:

  Overtime will be required, especially during peak periods

  Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $73,900.00 to $109,900.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
