A top Fortune 500 company in the Aerospace and Defense industry are looking for a Tax Analyst to join their team at their corporate headquarters in Providence, RI. This role represents a great opportunity to become a member of a dynamic tax department comprised of highly skilled and motivated tax professionals committed to providing team members with challenging and diverse tax work experience. This position reports to the Director of Tax Compliance as a member of the Compliance Tax Team. As a Tax Analyst you will play a crucial role in preparing and reviewing of Textron's tax filing requirements related to federal and state tax return preparation and review, assistance with financial statement reporting for income taxes (ASC 740) as needed, IRS audit support as needed, development of junior staff, as well as tax research and special project work. Responsibilities include:
* Prepare and review non-complex federal/state income tax returns and state franchise tax returns in accordance with statutory requirements.
* Assist in the preparation of more complex tax returns.
* Create accurate supporting tax schedules and technical forms.
* Assist with federal/state income tax audits as required.
* Conduct research projects and prepare technical memo write-ups documenting conclusions.
* Respond promptly and effectively to tax correspondence from various tax agencies.
* Develop expertise in income tax compliance and research methodologies.
* Assume accountability for completing assigned tasks and responsibilities.

Skills and Requirements
Desired Qualifications --
* Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field
* 2-4+ years in a professional role with accounting or tax analyst experience
* Strong analytical skills to comprehend income tax accounting theory and tax compliance laws.
* Experienced with Excel and income tax compliance software (CorpTax experience a plus)
* Understanding of the fundamentals of accounting based on US GAAP, ASC 740, consolidated tax return regulations, and multi state tax concepts. Plusses --
* CPA Certified or Masters degree in Taxation
* Corporate Tax experience
* Familiarity or experience with Tax codes/Filings including: (163J, GILTI, TCGA)
* Federal and or International Tax accounting experience null
