They work independently with the assigned client area to provide full-cycle recruitment support. This includes developing or reviewing job descriptions, creating a recruitment strategy and timeline, and pre-screening candidates to recommend to the hiring team. The consultant also provides interview resources to hiring managers and partners with the Hiring Manager to lead offer discussions, recommend salaries, and finalize the offer. They maintain a detailed understanding of jobs and associated requirements across the university and are available to answer questions on recruiting-related practices and strategies, raising questions as appropriate. Responsibilities: Provides comprehensive recruitment support for UMN campuses and units. This involves conducting intake meetings, evaluating job descriptions, formulating a recruitment plan, assessing and interviewing potential candidates, suggesting the appropriate salary based on their qualifications and internal equity, and finalizing the job offer. Actively source candidates using internal advertising, LinkedIn, job boards, etc. Implements diversity and inclusion strategies throughout the hiring process. Promotes the U of M employer brand, ensuring a positive candidate experience. Acts as a resource for hiring managers, guiding implicit bias, successful interview methods, talent pool assessment, and ensuring a positive candidate experience. Utilizes the applicant tracking system, assisting hiring managers, HR partners, and candidates with system-related queries. Manages special recruitment projects as requested. Work Environment: Hybrid (1-2 days in office) Travel: Travel may be required to system campuses as needed. Salary: $75,000/annually ($36.06/hourly), with benefits. Potential opportunity for the position to go permanent after six months. Qualifications Required Qualifications (please document on resume): BA or BS degree and at least four years of experience OR a combination of education and experience to equal at least eight years may be substituted for education requirements. Preferred Qualifications (please document on resume): BA or BS degree in HR. At least two years of recruitment experience.
