The System Specialist is the technical and process expert in their Business Partner Group. Together with BT's cross-functional teams and business partners, they create and maintain end-to-end business processes to generate positive business outcomes and customer satisfaction. The System Specialist understands the business and is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining applications and platforms. This can include configuration, troubleshooting technical issues, and monitoring system performance. The role will also support and enforce system health initiatives, Security & SOX standards, and day-to-day management of the platform.
Key Responsibilities
Knowledge of all aspects of the respective Salesforce - User access management, declarative metadata, Reports & Dashboards, Sandbox creation & Maintenance, etc for the Salesforce Platform and technical/functional capabilities, including all changes and potential system implications related to ongoing releases. Perform tasks related to the day-to-day operations of several large implementations including handling user access management, UAT support, case management, Data Management, Problem & Incident Management, etc.
Implement monitoring solutions for early detection of issues, application health, and the platform health. Works proactively to continuously improve and enhance the application, gathering requirements and feedback, designing scalable best practice solutions, and assisting in managing the product roadmap
Contributes to the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of application enhancements and/or upgrades
Collaborate with the development scrum teams and other interconnected BT groups to optimize the end-to-end process including monitoring, deployment, and support
Maintains updated technical and functional documentation for all supported applications
Actively transfers knowledge throughout the organization, leading & participates in knowledge-sharing projects to develop best practices, and mentors junior staff and new hires
Maintain and demonstrate 100% compliance with all written security policies, SOX procedures, and change management controls
Manage the upkeep, implementation, documentation, and training for all the business processes with a primary focus on stakeholder success
Identify opportunities & remediate the technical debt to increase the stability and performance of the application/Platform
Required Certifications:
Salesforce Admin
Salesforce Advanced Admin
Salesforce App builder
Key Accountabilities
System Availability: Maintain System/Application availability as per the standards
Problem Management: Own and Manage the end-to-end process for Production Incidents
SOX and Compliance: Ensure and abide by all the Security Standards and Policies for all the supported systems including access management and change management
Case Management: Ensure following the case management processes to achieve the highest customer satisfaction and meet the SLAs where applicable
