Your Impact
Manage a team of Service Provider partner engineers, providing direction, coaching, and performance management
Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product, and engineering, to develop and deliver solutions that meet the needs of the Service Provider partner and their end-users
Collaborate with Service Provider partners to ensure that technical solutions meet their requirements and deliver a high level of customer satisfaction
Develop and execute Service Provider enablement programs to support partner sales and technical teams
Provide technical leadership to the team, including guidance on product capabilities and technical issues
Collaborate with other departments to ensure that Service Provider partners have access to the resources they need to be successful, including technical documentation, training materials, and support tools
Drive pipeline and revenue growth by ensuring that Service Provider partners are equipped to sell and support the company's products and solutions
Recruit and hire new systems engineers, hiring the best talent in the industry
Responsible to train, mentor, and review employees on your team, keeping them engaged and successful in their careers
Support the engineer team in complex evaluations, problem-solving, and challenging customer environments
Provide effective technical leadership in partner interactions to include sharing security trends and standard methodologies employed by other customers to actively be part of the selling process
Act as a floating Service Provider partner systems engineer and fill in for existing team members if there is a resource conflict or vacation coverage challenge
Build and maintain relationships with key Service Provider partners to assist the account teams with defining plans to drive more business
Present to key Service Provider partners as our expert at all levels in the customer hierarchy from technician to CIO
Discuss competitor products in the marketplace and positions ours as the best alternative
Maintain a general understanding of competitor selling strategies
Working with Product Management, Technical Marketing, and R&D to build requirements and product features and provide feedback from Service Provider partners
25-50% travel within North America
Your Experience
Sell With/Sell Through and Managed Service Providers - Must have senior level relationships with our Service Provider partners currently selling Palo Alto Networks Solutions, and have intimate experience driving partners through industry ecosystems programs, including compliance and training
Technical knowledge - Strong technical knowledge of enterprise network, cloud, or endpoint security and services, as well as an in-depth understanding of the industry, competitors, and market trends - Candidates must have experience in pre-sales engineering or technical sales roles
Sales experience - Candidates must have a strong understanding of the sales process and experience working in a sales-oriented environment - They should have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets from companies in the enterprise networking security industry
Management skills - Candidates should have experience managing a team of pre-sales engineers or technical sales representatives - They should have strong leadership skills, be able to motivate and coach their team, and have experience in performance management and goal setting
Communication skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role - Candidates must be able to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Interpersonal skills - the Ecosystems SE Manager must be able to build and maintain strong relationships with partners, customers, and internal stakeholders - They should have strong collaboration skills and be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Travel - This role will require significant travel, so candidates must be willing and able to travel as needed

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be between $178,000/yr to $244,750/yr.
