  Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2024 Systems Engineer (Airworthiness) Intern. In this role, you will manage Airworthiness artifacts and data requirements to support Airworthiness cycles, technical planning, and preparing the following data artifacts of Certification Basis, Compliance Reports, Configuration Verification Reports, and Certificate of Design during a life cycle of a project. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of coordinating and leading internal and external customer discussions to achieve agreements on a project's certification approach and have excellent time management and communication skills.

  Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position is located at a facility that requires special access.

  Basic Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering.

  • Willing to travel

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position is located at a facility that requires special access.

  Desired Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong technical and analytical skills & knowledge of statistical analysis methods.

  • Military or civilian flight experience.

  • Strong MS Office tools skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

  • Strong organization and coordination skills with high attention to detail.

  Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

  Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
