  In this exciting role, you will act as a fulcrum between Program Management, Product Management, and discipline engineers (both hardware and software) during the product development phase.

  In addition, you will be writing requirements, defining test responsibilities for verification and validation, and navigating a team of interdisciplinary engineers through the technical aspects of product development, which includes technology integration, tradeoff analysis, and troubleshooting.

  The ideal candidate will have experience with a requirements management tool like Polarion, JAMA or DOORs.

  Responsibilities:

  Analyzes best approach to solving systems problems (innovation vs. re-use), including best fit solution to customer requirement and cost considerations.

  Develops, designs, evaluates, and/or modifies systems consistent with customer and regulatory requirements.

  Develops system architecture and ensures the integrity of the architecture/design. Completed work measured against set objectives.

  Determines and develops best approaches to solutions.

  Engages in competitive analysis: research, test plan generation, and testing to benchmark customer-facing attributes.

  Completes all phases of highly complex systems design projects independently.

  Exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions, leading tradeoff discussions amongst the technical, program, and product management teams when appropriate.

  Reviews changes or upgrades to existing systems designs.

  Develops new technology to solve unique problems.

  Leads presentation of solutions to customers and internal audiences.

  Assists in pre-sales negotiations by serving as a primary technical point of contacts.

  Leads production of, and independently generates technical documentation relating to the solution for inclusion in proposal or system documentation package.

  Receives little instruction on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments.

  Influences the activities of a cross-disciplinary team during product development (exempt professional and non-exempt).

  Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.

  Frequent inter-organizational and outside customers.

  Establishes requirements for multiple, highly complex systems design projects.

  Qualifications:

  Minimum Qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree and 5+ year experience or Masters degree and 4+ year experience.

  Experience developing a new hardware product, from concept phase to production and deployment required.

  Experience in writing requriements required.

  Demonstrated use of a requirements management tool like Polarion, JAMA, DOORs, or equivalent required.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Proven track record of soft skills to lead by influence and drive decision-making with sound reasoning undergirded by quantifiable data highly preferred.

  Developing programs from concept to production and deployment highly preferred.

  Knowledge of camera technologies: optics, sensors, ISPs, & image-processing chains highly preferred.

  Salary: USD 117700.00 - USD 176500.00 Yearly

  Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.

  Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
