Description:
Our client is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Interface Requirements team working on the US and UK TRIDENT Fleet Ballistic Missile Submarine Strategic Weapon System and Tomahawk Attack Weapon System programs.
The groups' primary function is to ensure that all weapon system interface, data, and cabling implementation requirements are properly defined and coordinated. They act as the independent, third party systems integrator and strive to ensure that all the requirements of the individual subsystems are met at the interface in order to ensure interoperability and compatibility. This is achieved by performing technical engineering change evaluations and coordinating between government and contractor activities to define Weapon System Interface Requirements.
The successful candidate must be able to support the maintenance of Electrical Coordination, Data, and SWS Cabling requirements, and the evolution of transforming standalone requirements documents into a linked framework using requirement/modeling tools to create a comprehensive, system-level view.

Requirements:
• Must be eligible to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required) due to Government work being performed
• Understanding of Systems Engineering principles with a 2+ years experience as an Electrical, Aerospace or Systems Engineer
• Willingness and ability to perform local travel
• Excellent organizational, planning, and follow-up skills
• Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite
Preferred Skills:
• Active DoD Secret security clearance or have held a clearance within the last two years
• Understanding of detailed engineering principles and experience with Interface Control/Requirements Drawings
• Knowledge of DoD Engineering Disciplines
• SysML experience
• Familiarity with Functional, Programmatic, and Technical Management knowledge area
• Experience working within a PLM Tool
• Experience with various engineering tools / languages including Cameo Systems Modeler, PTC Windchill, IBM DOORS, 2D/3D CAD, SysML, JAVA, and/or MATLAB Simulink
• Experience with Model Based Engineering (MBE)
• Experience with MagicDraw tools
