Team/Department Description :The Technology Services Group (TSG) works with our internal customers to help define and deliver high impact solutions based on VMware, Linux and Windows platforms to support our own software products effectively. This Senior Information Systems Engineer role involves interacting with key business units, gathering comprehensive requirements, and delivering highly effective virtualized and physical solutions. Working closely with internal groups and vendor partners, you will have the opportunity to combine your technical skills, creativity, and customer focus to deliver great solutions that ensure our customers get the best out of these technologies.Role/Responsibilities :Objective of the Senior Information Systems Engineer: The position has the primary responsibility of deploying, maintaining and enhancing a global on premise infrastructure stack and workloads across multiple public cloud environments. Working with the latest technologies and as part of a global infrastructure team you will have strong core-infrastructure experience and a vision to adopt DevOps methodologies, best practices, and efficiencies. This is an exciting and challenging position for an individual who is simply not just looking for another IT role, but a role which has autonomy, growth, and knowledge that you are significantly contributing to the creation of the next generation of Catastrophe Models used by many of the world leading insurer's, reinsurers, and brokers.
Key Accountabilities & Deliverables:
Perform systems administration of company-wide virtualization environments - maintenance, performance, and issue resolution.
Drive automation and efficiency with a goal to deliver Infrastructure-as-code.
Implementation of performance metrics to measure system and application demands and bottlenecks.
Research and recommend equipment and software solutions for to enable effective use of budgets.
Provide support for various virtual and cloud environments in AWS and Azure.Qualifications :
Experience Required:
Full infrastructure-stack awareness including networking, security, storage.
Strong experience troubleshooting complex issues and performing corrective actions.
Strong experience managing and supporting large VMware vSphere environments.
Strong experience in automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible or Jenkins.
Strong experience with PowerShell (or other scripting) tools.
Strong experience administering and troubleshooting Windows Servers and server roles.
Strong experience managing large Active Directory domains, forests, replication.
Strong understanding of storage technologies; SAN, NAS, Nutanix, Cohesity.
Experience with Git, Github, Azure DevOps or other version control systems.
Experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure Public Clouds. Migrating workloads and services to cloud-based services with performance and cost considerations.
Basic Linux troubleshooting skills preferably with RHEL / CentOS distributions.
Previous experience working within a diverse global team.
Interaction with NOC, SOC and other business support areas for problem escalations, resolutions, reporting and coordination.
Previous experience working with a ticketing system such as ServiceNow or Jira as well as following change management processes.
Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zenoss, LogicMonitor preferred.
Any exposure to container-based workloads, deployments, and administration advantageous.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$100,000]] to [[$160,000]] , depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
