Come soar with us!Collins Aerospace is currently seeking motivated student engineers for our Datalinks Communications department located in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role will be onsite. Our student engineers will engage with various disciplines including hardware, software, manufacturing and program office. We work in an agile environment focused on the design and development of Software Defined Radio solutions. This position may be eligible for relocation.Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in performing analysis at all levels of the total system product including concept, design, fabrication, modeling, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.Help perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Assist with managing configuration process, performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.Help ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.Assist with decomposing customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, and generates verification criteria and plans for the requirements.Basic Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the information under this program/contract.Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements.
