What You Will Do
As a Systems Administrator with Trimble Autonomy, you will manage, maintain, implement, and performance-tune systems across the organisation to ensure high levels of quality, availability, and security. This performance and maintenance are consistent with Trimble's technology goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. The role requires the operational management and system implementation of solutions in a well-organized process.
You will assist with all levels of hardware/software support for servers, networking equipment, and firewalls. You'll set up, optimise, and maintain servers, both physical and virtual, and support and respond to service outages or other incidents. Project work will involve supporting the project team, along with providing knowledge, training, and work direction for non-technical team members.
Regularly, this will involve you doing the following:Solving technical problems quickly and effectivelyCollect and analyze data to evaluate network/systems performance and help make the system work better, faster, and with greater accuracy; identify and implement system improvements where neededManage, maintain, support, and monitor physical server, VMware Virtual Infrastructure, along with AWS and Azure cloud environmentsPerform installations, integrations, configurations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of various network and server technologies from multiple vendorsMaintain documentation on all system infrastructureAssisting in vulnerability tests, risk assessments, and mitigation.What Skills & Experience You Should Bring
Along with Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability, the ability to work independently under minimal supervision, and effective verbal communication in English, you should have the following:5+ years of experience in Server and Network AdministrationProficient with Cloud service providers; AWS, and AzureKnowledge of Enterprise LAN and WAN technologies/protocolsDeveloped skills with a variety of operating systems and networking technologiesProven network and server performance analysis skillsAbility to keep up with advancements in IT network technologies.About Your Location
This is a hybrid position designed to support flexibility. You will support the environment from your home base in Perth, as well as remote as other local team members do.
