Collins Aerospace in Heidelberg supplies integrated navigation and communications systems for a wide range of military applications and is a global leader in satellite reaction wheel technology.We are redefining aerospace.Role Overview:The Collins Digital Technology Int'l Team is currently searching for an experienced System Administrator.In this role, you will be in charge to lead or take part of Int'l apps deployment projects, being the focal point of Int'l sites, you represent, ensuring smooth delivery & operation.Your broad technical skills will allow you to operate locally hosted applications, making sure support is provided within SLA and applications are kept up to date and compliant.You will speak to all internal stakeholders involved in the applications landscape: application owner, infrastructure, end user support & cyber. You will be configuring and managing Engineering and Manufacturing applications. Support day-to-day operations and maintenance.Perform specific tasks including provisioning, troubleshooting, and some automation and scripting. Perform Trend analysis, identify top few incidents and work with respective teams/individual to minimize the incidents.Plan and schedule Changes, Coordinating with different stakeholders. You will also need a solid understanding of DT enterprise systems (hardware, software, storage, backup and networks).Provide technical subject matter expertise wherever required.Job Responsibilities:
Managing medium size Int'l Engineering and Manufacturing Application deployment projectsTechnical focal point for Large Int'l Eng & Manuf Apps projectInstallation, administration, maintenance & troubleshooting of PLM/MES/ALM type of applications hosted on various operating systems. Provide support for various legacy applications. Perform hardening, security scanning, log management, patching and securing of applications following change request process. Manage daily operations as per incident management process. Mentors junior application administrators and recommends design changes to improve the operability. Requirements:
EU/ NATO- member citizenshipExperience in project managementGood English language skills are a must-have. Knowledge of IT best practices (ITIL) as well as working in a process driven enterprise organization. Good knowledge of at least one of the following:PDM/MES applicationsTeamcenterSVNEnoviaSoluminaExperience with administration and management of applications to include installation, configuration, optimization, backup & recovery. Experience with troubleshooting and resolving applications running within Windows and Linux environment. Experience in administration and management of virtual machines (VMware)Desired Skills:
Basic German language skillsCertificate of Project ManagementFamiliar with fundamentals of scripting languages for automation tasks and deployments. Knowledge of security hardening and cyber security topics.Comfortable with multilevel security systems or Cross Domain Solutions.Experience with Cloud platform (AWS, Azure) capabilities.
