Job Responsibilities:
The IT tech support team is responsible for designing, managing, maintaining and trouble-shooting enterprise solutions for diverse multidisciplinary user environments. The Systems Administrator is a critical team member in providing this support and requires an advanced skill set that includes management of cross-platform systems, and enterprise file and web hosting services. Experience installing, updating, and maintaining server and desktop operating systems, including virtual servers and clustered environments in support of enterprise services.
Responsible for administrating and managing Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems, which includes deployment, installation, and advanced troubleshooting
Application support that includes management of all support and infrastructure documentation, faculty/staff client computer support infrastructure, and systems reliability and performance
Performs hardware maintenance, including move/add/change bios/firmware upgrades, physical installation, and general data center housekeeping
Responsible for managing advanced computer security best practices and policies for both server and user-based software. Includes management of security patches, virus protection, firewalls, and IPS.

Required Qualifications:
BS Degree
2 years’ customer support experience
2 years’ experience in an academic environment
Must have experience supporting Windows computers in an enterprise environment:
Experience with packaging, deployments, and SCCM
PDQ and Intune experience are welcome
PowerShell and batch scripting fluency
1-3 years’ hands-on experience with systems administration involving networking, configuration of Windows, Linux, and Macintosh servers, clients and peripherals
Provide end-user support, resolve technical issues, and provide technical assistance for all operating systems
Provide remote desktop/computer support. Experience implementing, installing, configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting, and evaluating operating systems
Excellent customer service, communications, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a strong service environment, under pressure, and subject to changing priorities
Self-driven and proactive
A life-long learner motivated to stay ahead of rapidly changing technology in order to maintain the cutting edge computing support environment and service that the College of Art and Design is accustomed to and desires
Preferred Qualifications:
BS Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred.
Certifications are a plus.
