As an individual contributor within the Electrification Center of Excellence (eCOE) and reporting to the System Validation Manager, the System Validation Engineer leads and supports project development activities. He/she carries out and analyzes validation tests in accordance with customer requirements. He also participates in the development of test tools.
Key job areas and responsibilities:
Testing:
• Is in charge of the robust specification of requirements in line with the project budget and quality objectives under the control of the client team
• Plans, monitors and controls activities in accordance with the requirements verification process
• Reviews internal requirements, customer requirements, system requirements specifications.
• Leads and contributes to the specification of requirements covering ASPICE SYS.4 & SYS.5 activities.
• Applies standardization rules, will exceptionally request adaptation upon justification.
• Responsible for the preparation of requirements verification reviews.
• Interface with customer for requirements verification content.
• Follows the validation schedule requested by the customer
Reporting
• Reports and escalates to the project manager in collaboration with the system engineer
• Reports to the system validation manager
• Participates in the preparation of requirements verification reviews
Continuous improvement
• Participates in the continuous improvement of standards, methods and tools for verification requirements engineering
• Contributes to the development of test tools
Supervision
• Oversees the verification reviews of customer requirements
• Supervise the progress of validation plans
• Supervise the activity progress of the assistant validation Engineer/System validation engineer
• Is in charge of training new collaborators in the project validation process
We are looking for someone that has:
• 5+ years of experience in validation engineering which includes electrical hardware and software testing.
• Product launch experience
• Proven experience in the design and validation of electric powertrain test equipment.
'• Understanding of system level powertrain DV and PV testing.
• Organizational, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a global and remote team environment
• Fluency in English (read, spoken, written)
• National or international mobility (regular travel)
• Knowledge of electrical or systems engineering.
• Knowledge of power/control circuits
• Knowledge of automotive standards
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (ex. CAN, LIN, Flex ray)
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, CAPL, etc. (read, coding)
• Use of calibration, diagnostic and measurement tools such as VECTOR, ETAS...
• Use of high-speed oscilloscopes, power analyzers, signal generators and measurement devices
• Knowledge of Jama/Jira tools
• Knowledge of standards :
o ISO 26262 Functional Safety
o LV-123 / VDA-320 Automotive high voltage / 48V
o ISO 16750 / LV-124 Validation of electrical components
