NVIDIA has continuously reinvented itself over two decades. Our invention of the GPU in 1999 sparked the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern AI — the next era of computing. NVIDIA is a "learning machine" that constantly evolves by adapting to new challenges that are hard to tackle, that only we can pursue, and that matter to the world. This is our life's work to amplify human inventiveness and intelligence. Make the choice to join us today!
The Silicon Solutions Group (SSG), is where innovation meets impact. Our mission is to craft extraordinary GPU and SoC products that power Artificial Intelligence, Gaming, Virtual Reality, Autonomous Vehicles, Enterprise Servers, Visual Computing, Home Entertainment, Datacenters, Servers, Automotive, Embedded Systems, and more. From silicon design to software integration and final deployment, we drive NVIDIA's success in multiple market segments. Here, you'll find a unique opportunity to collaborate across the company, shape the future of technology, and advance your career in a role of significant influence. Our journey begins at the inception of ideas and extends to defining the products. We aim to continually push the boundaries of what's possible and make ground-breaking impacts. NVIDIA SSG is seeking a hardworking engineer. As a team member, you are responsible for architecting, designing, and integrating system features and control policies with a deep understanding of product needs.
What you'll be doing:
Lead the charge in architecting, designing, and integrating silicon and system-level features. Develop pioneering features and controllers, including DVFS, VF management, power budgeting, and noise mitigation. Influence designs to be productization-friendly and craft feature productization plans for new silicon.
Use your expertise to optimize product performance and power under different use cases. Conduct prototyping, simulation, and numerical analysis to inform design trade-offs. Collaborate with teams across the organization to achieve the best results.
Keep a close eye on industry, technology, and market developments. Incorporate these insights into our future roadmaps, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve and continue to produce competitive products.
Lead debugging efforts, craft Work-Arounds (WARs), and provide critical support for manufacturing and customer issues related to relevant features.
What we need to see:
A BS or MS degree in EE/CE or equivalent experience.
You should have at least 8+ years of proven experience in silicon design, validation, power, and performance optimization.
Strong fundamentals in EE, digital design, low power design, DVFS, signal integrity, statistics, timing analysis, sampling, architecture, filters, and scripting.
A deep understanding of firmware/driver structures and their interaction with hardware is essential.
Experience with control systems, boot/reset flows, micro-architecture, and system architecture is highly valuable.
Hands-on lab experience with silicon bring-up, lab debugging, and lab tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills, a strong team player, and exceptional interpersonal skills are essential.
Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Perl, and C/C++ in Windows and Linux environments is required.
The base salary range is 156,000 USD - 247,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
You will also be eligible for equity and benefits (https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/benefits/) . NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
