System Administrator Assistant
Position Description
Works under the general direction of the Systems Administrator to support facility operations and production by ensuring the availability and proper function of all related applications, hardware, and infrastructure technologies; Works closely with 3rd Tier Support Teams and Infrastructure Support Groups to resolve issues, implement and maintain technologies, and meet compliance objectives.
Your future duties and responsibilities
• Monitor and administer enterprise systems; manage user access, monitor for proper performance, and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Desktop support; Configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair hardware, including Personal Computers and peripherals; Software installation, configuration, and maintenance
• Monitor and maintain Servers and other infrastructure components; Inspect components, review event logs, report issues and coordinate corrective measures with appropriate teams and vendors
• MS Windows Administration; Administer Active Directory Objects (Users, Groups, Computers, etc.), File Shares, Network Printers, Group Policy, and related services
• Meet compliance objectives; Ensure that all Servers and Personal Computers are configured with required software and peripherals and that only approved items are in use; Use provided tools to monitor and maintain patch levels and other compliance items; Ensure that all users receive required training on acceptable computer use and security policies
• Monitor the status of backups and ensure proper handling, retention, and disposal of all media
• Create and maintain documentation and logs, manage equipment inventory, create and manage trouble tickets
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting and maintaining IT products, services, and solutions
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting and maintaining Desktop Hardware, Software, and peripherals
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience performing administration and support activities in a Microsoft Windows Environment
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience installing and maintaining networked devices
Additional requirements:
• US Citizenship
• Associate's Degree in a related field of study
• Maintain a Secret Level Security Clearance
• Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds
US Citizenship is required
• Experience with Microsoft Office Applications, including MS Access
• Relevant certifications

To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $44,500 - $94,500."
