Work you'll do
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Transition Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our dynamic Infrastructure Operations team. As an SME, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the smooth transition of infrastructure services, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency. The successful candidate will have a strong background in both System Operations (SysOps) and Development Operations (DevOps), demonstrating expertise in infrastructure design, implementation, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute comprehensive infrastructure transition plans.
Ensure seamless migration of systems, applications, and services with minimal impact on operations.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential challenges during transition.
Design and implement robust infrastructure solutions, considering scalability, security, and performance requirements.
Collaborate with SysOps and DevOps teams to optimize system architecture and deployment processes.
Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to enhance infrastructure capabilities.
Create comprehensive documentation for transition plans, infrastructure designs, and operational procedures.
Generate regular reports on the status of infrastructure transitions, highlighting key achievements and areas for improvement.
Implement best practices to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of infrastructure operations.
Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, integrating relevant technologies into existing infrastructure.
Work closely with stakeholders, including project managers, IT teams, and business units, to understand requirements and expectations.
Communicate effectively with team members, providing guidance and support throughout the transition process.
Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to ensure operational readiness post-transition.

Qualifications
Required:
6+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Transition SME with expertise in both SysOps and DevOps
2+ years of experience in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies
2+ years of experience with scripting and automation using tools like PowerShell, Python, or Bash
1+ year of experience with Project management experience and familiarity with ITIL practices
Experience in leading and influencing cross-functional teams
Bachelor's degree
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
AWS Solution Architect Professional

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $78,000 to $118,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
