As an IPS Switchgear Repair Technician you willdemonstrate strong repair skills and commitment for providing an UnmatchedCustomer Experience.Inspect, test and maintain complex low, medium and high voltage electricalpower distribution equipment, such as automatic transfer switches, circuitbreakers, contactors, control systems, relays, and transformersConsult manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering personnel totroubleshoot and solve problemsTest equipment to detect malfunctioning, broken parts, and determineresistance, using various testing equipmentPrepare reports, making repair/replacement recommendations, and explaininspection resultsPerform work in compliance with operating policies and proceduresQualifications and Competencies:Knowledge on how to operate and interpret readings from an insulationresistance test, ratio, primary and secondary injection, hi-pot, etc.preferredNETA Certification preferredA minimum of six years of low and medium voltage switchgear testing and repairpreferredExperience with low and medium voltage pad mount transformers preferredAble to read and interpret drawings/diagrams and specifications(electrical, mechanical and connection)Strong oral and written communication and analytical skillsAble to work with minimal direction or supervisionHave experience with health and safety programs including lock out tag outAbility to travel locally and overnightAvailable and willing to work flexible hours, overtime and weekends asrequired, willingness to be on callBenefits:Paid Time Off401k Employer MatchOn-the-job TrainingTuition Reimbursement ProgramMedical, Dental, and Vision plansSafety shoe & glasses reimbursementAnd more!
