Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced product manager with strong product management and Cross border payments experience. The role reports directly to the Senior Product Manager, Cross Border Payments. You will be joining a highly engaged and performing team with an ambitious product roadmap. This position will partner closely with the Payments organization and product owners on the FX, Global Digital Solutions and Core Banking teams.
• Own the development and maintenance of core cross border payments products including details of the business value delivered at the pod level.
• Manage the pod's product backlog effectively and ensure it is clearly communicated.
• Drive business value for the pod by prioritizing product backlog items based on product roadmap.
• Translate business requirements into effective epics, features and functional stories ready for development and outline clear acceptance criteria.
• Work with the Senior product manager to understand cross border payments organization's objectives, strategies and solution needs to and translate business requirements into product requirements to ensure the product delivers on those needs.
• Drive quarterly planning for the pod by engaging with leadership and adjacent teams to achieve alignment of roadmaps and business objectives.
• Closely partner with the Development, Software Quality Assurance, Architecture, Operations, and other functions to deliver high quality product releases.
• Effectively manage and communicate impediments, dependencies, and risks.
• Engage with Compliance, Audit and Risk partners to ensure compliance with applicable laws and Regulations as well as Internal SVB Policies.
Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
BA/BS Degree (HS Diploma OR GED with 4 years of related experience)
4+ years of product experience in the payment or financial services industries, preferably serving commercial/business clients.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Advanced knowledge of cross border payments industry practices, standards, rules, and regulations (SWIFT & ISO20022).
• Good understanding of system interfaces including event streaming, file-based and API.
• Prior Experience as a Business Systems Analyst/Product owner for agile pods and proven ability to lead in a cross functional team environment.
• Demonstrated capability to collaborate with architects, developers, and data engineers to define the technology infrastructure and data architecture necessary to deliver an innovative Payments experience.
• Experience managing vendor systems and authoring both internal and vendor requirements in tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
• Prior experience implementing SWIFT solutions including SWIFT for Corporates, SWIFT Information Reporting, SWIFT File ACT, SWIFT GPI.
